ON THE HUMAN FACTOR IN DIGITALISATION

STIMULATING THE HUMAN FACTOR IN DIGITALISATION; IN DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTION

Putting people first in a digital world. In stimulating the human factor in digitalisation both in development as in adoption of all types of solutions one must not forget that we are human beings and that technology should work for us and not against.

With this in mind and striving to make digital rights more applied, we are involved in all kinds of projects ranging from setting up beta testing programs in a city context with contributions by residents to exploring what is a dignified use of Ai, to making a digital human/Ai chatbot open source so others can help accelerate the responsible development, to researching what the effect of increased digitalisation is on for instance the state of poverty in a community, to making sure hotlines and help/support desks for topics ranging from online sexual harassment to getting online access, always have partnerships set up for second line care and attention. The number of projects that can and need to be done are limitless. If it is empowerment of people or stimulating better mental health, just to name some areas of interest, we as society need to step up to the plate.

You can see Digital Rights House as a Lab. This is just our way in trying to make the world we live in a bit more Human-First in times of increased digitalisation. The great thing in making stuff is that you learn a lot in the process too. We always need enthusiastic, curious and hands-on people to help take the Lab further.
